In Rising Stars you’ll learn the skills you need to take your career to the next level, and you’ll expand your network and gain valuable experience. There are many paths to success at Stop & Shop, and Rising Stars can help you find yours.
Tuition Reimbursement
If getting a degree is one of your goals, we can help you make it happen. We are proud to offer associates tuition reimbursement for work-related, part-time degree programs. Associates are eligible for $5,250 in reimbursement each year to attend any accredited college or university while working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree. Full-time associates who have been with the company for at least six months are eligible for this valuable perk.
Scholarships
We know that getting a degree can be expensive. That’s why we offer our associates and their children scholarship opportunities to help. Each year we offer two scholarship programs:
- Lewis G. Shaeneman Jr. Scholarship: In honor of former Stop & Shop President Lewis G. Shaeneman Jr., this scholarship awards grants of $5,000 to help pay for higher education. Part-time associates with a year of service are eligible to apply.
- Stop & Shop Scholarship Program: Stop & Shop associates and their children are eligible for these $1,000 scholarships.
You may qualify for other scholarships based on your role, union membership, and/or community support.
